Update to Services & Operations (Seattle and SODO)

Recovery Cafe Seattle (including SODO) has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend operating as a gathering space. We arrived at this decision after considering what is the most loving thing for Members, staff, volunteers, visitors and partners. Recovery Cafe Seattle is continuing to support the community by providing a ” to go” meal program (lunch and dinner), setting up telephone and/or virtual recovery support, and offering space to Public Health officials addressing the needs of those experiencing homelessness who are most at risk of contracting COVID-19 .
The guidelines we have received from public health officials have changed quickly over the past several days. Even by the time you read this, guidelines may have changed. We encourage you to check in with your state and county health authorities for updates most relevant to your area.
In the days to come, we will be sharing more resources for providing support to your Members and community on social media and our website, seeking your wisdom, and finding new ways to support each other through this crisis.
*All Recovery Cafe Network members should have already received an invitation to a call we will be hosting tomorrow to help provide support and guidance about navigating closures and setting up telephone support services for the members you serve. If you operate a Recovery Cafe and need this link again, please reach out to us!
Stay kind and know that you are not alone out there!
In Gratitude & Solidarity.
