Nurturing a Network of Recovery Cafés
As the sole trainer of the Recovery Café Model, the Network welcomes new Cafés twice a year through learning cohorts, where they receive training, peer learning, and ongoing staff support.
Emerging Member Cafés:
Once accepted into the Network, new Cafés embark on a two-year intensive learning phase, designed to lay the foundation for long-term success. This includes capacity-building, mentorship, and resources from the Network to support each team in starting and growing a Café.
Full Member Cafés:
After groups complete the Emerging Membership phase, the Network evaluates Cafés for their alignment with the Core Commitments and demonstrated integrity to the Model in action. Upon successful evaluation, Cafés become Full Members and continue to receive ongoing leadership and operational support while serving as peer leaders in the Network.

Train
We equip communities with the foundational knowledge and support needed to launch a Recovery Café. After providing resources to help teams establish their organizational home, the Network focuses training on the fundamentals and heart of the Recovery Café Model. We guide teams in how to embody our Core Commitments and implement programs with integrity and love, utilizing the tools and processes designed by Recovery Café Network.

Support
We walk alongside every Café as they develop and deepen their work. Our staff provide steady guidance through coaching, consultation, and evaluation—helping Cafés stay aligned with the Model, strengthen their capacity, and navigate the real, on-the-ground challenges of running a healing community space.

Connect
We nurture the relationships that make this Network a community. Through gatherings, peer learning, and shared spaces of reflection, we bring Cafés together to exchange wisdom, uplift one another, and weave a strong, resilient interconnected movement of belonging and transformation.
Support Before Membership
Before teams join the Network, our dedicated Catalyst Team supports interested groups in exploring the Recovery Café Model and discerning whether it is the right fit for their community. They guide teams through preparation, capacity-building, and the application process that leads into the Emerging Member phase.
